Daniela Rizzuti is an EFL teacher in the Department of Economics and Jurisprudence and in the Department of Political and Social Sciences at the University of Calabria (Italy). In the past she has also worked in the Faculty of Arts. She holds a PhD in Knowledge and Innovation for the Development – “Andrè Gunder Frank”, at the University of Calabria (Italy) and an MA in Applied Linguistics and TESOL at the University of Leicester, UK. She has published in the area of Linguistics with specific reference to the teaching of English to speakers of other languages within the University context. Her research interests are in the field of Corpus Linguistics, Critical Discourse Analysis, Discourse Analysis with particular reference to the investigation of legal discourse, and in English for Special Purposes. She has participated in a summer school on Corpus Linguistics at Aston University – Birmingham (UK). She has also participated in numerous teacher training courses on creative methodology in Italy and abroad. Throughout her various teaching experiences she has also taught as a teacher trainer at the Music Academy “F. Torrefranca” in Vibo Valentia (Italy), in State schools and in numerous projects funded by the European Union as an EFL teacher.
